A constancy in our lives is change. Change is a real part of our every day live. We experience change in seasons. We live with climate change. We change our clothes. We may resist making changes; however, change will occur.

The apostle Paul in his letter to the Roman church speaks of transformation rather than mere change. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Paul makes the point that we should not just change, but make a profound transformation of our character or nature. For Paul it is a call to spiritual transformation, a fundamental change in personal spiritual life. The person of faith is to renew their thinking and actions so that they will come to understand the will of God for their lives.

What is good and acceptable and perfect for God? It is to transform our lives from a self-center nature to an agape, loving nature. It would be a profound change in our life stile.

Let us not resist God’s call to be renew in spirit. Let us all be transformed in our nature so that we may be used by God to do his will. For me when I was in hospitals and rehab for four and a half in 2012, I experience a transformation in my spirit to put my faith and trust in God not just intellectually, but in my heart, my being.

Hopefully I will continually to be transformed by the power of the holy spirit working in my life. God be with each and every one of us that we will continually be transformed in to the person God calls us to be. Amen
